Re: Reminder: #OhmHour Occurrences and Notifications
I just had one on Saturday that gave me 2 minutes notice. I don't know if I went over or not, but I didn't see the text until 3 hours AFTER the hours finished (I don't live on my phone like some people). I will not be happy if I lose points because I don't live on my phone.
ok so it just posted and I lost 83 points and my streak (today would be 7) all because I had no notice and that I never opted in for. I know if I opted out I would lost me streak, but that is better than losing points. This has been a problem for at least 8 months, I think something should have been fixed by now. Very not happy at the moment.
Re: Account disconnected for no reason
Same here, disconnected from my utility (SDGE) recently and reverted from platinum to bronze status. Contacted support who responded with:
"Hi there. We recently changed our utility signup flow and fixed a couple of issues. Due to this, some OhmConnect users may need to connect to their utility again. (Sorry about that!) It looks like all you need to do to do to complete your account is to head over to your Settings page and click the blue "Connect Utility" button to finish connecting your utility."
The "Connect Utility" button does not reconnect; SDGE states that OhmConnect is authorized and data is being sent correctly. Issue appears to be on OhmConnect's side, I responded to support a few more times with additional details. It appears support is reading the messages, but are not responding for unknown reasons. Frustrating, not being paid for the last to two Ohm events.
Others on FB appear to be having similar issues with OhmConnect and lack of support.

Re: Updates to streaks and status
@No Pain No Gain Thanks for watching my back :-) When I mean "auto pilot", I have everything in the home, and I mean everything for the most part, on a smart switch except my Plex Mac Server which is a Mac Mini :-) It is always on 24/7 but sleeps when not in use. The cool thing is when I leave my house or I am even inside it, if you are not in that particular room or part of the house all the power in that room is off. The smart switches barely draw a current when they are not turned on and the power is switched on by motion sensors in the house. When an Ohm Event occurs and I am home I manually switch the breakers off to get to 0.00 but I have tested the system while away during an OhmConnect and even with my server on in sleep mode I only draw about .09 Kwh so thats what I mean by "auto pilot". The only thing Ohm Connect helped me do really, which isn't a bad thing, was make my home smart and be more conscious of the energy I was wasting. I have never been happier with my electric bill but the incentive is gone to promote and rally behind Ohm Connect when I will make less than $5 an Ohm Event and have to turn off the power and explain to my son "the power is out again". The incentive doesn't equal the inconvenience any longer. He is 4 and says, "Daddy is the power going off again." Make people flip breakers, miss their TV shows, adjust our already hectic lives with our children for meal times, bath times, shower times, family time, etc. to make $2-3 bucks an event even with the best multiplier???? Really....
I guess a good analogy would be like going to Costco to get gas....some people will continue to do OhmConnect and wait in a long line for 10 minutes to get gas to save a few bucks while others value their time and don't want to wait but pay a little more. Again, benefit vs. reward.
I suspect if all the power Ohm Connect users voice their opinions, which everyone should, things will change. This move doesn't seem sustainable. The bad marketing, publicity, reviews, member drop off, feedback, etc. that is going to be generated from this change will deter new people from signing up and existing users to drop off. Anyone else's thoughts?

Reminder: #OhmHour Occurrences and Notifications
Those of you who are diligent in reading your weekly Energy Statement will have seen this, but wanted to cross-post for extra visibility and as a general reminder!
Wherefore art thou, #OhmHour?
While many of our community members received an #OhmHour earlier this week, others have gone some time without being called on to save energy. We’d like to take a moment and remind everyone why #OhmHours are random and why you sometimes only receive a notification just before the #OhmHour starts.
#OhmHours occur when the grid doesn’t have enough energy for everyone. It just so happens that the grid has been particularly stable this past month. When the grid does get stressed, the people who operate the grid will occasionally know they need more energy the day before. Other times, they don’t know until a few minutes beforehand.
As soon as we’re notified, we pass this information onto you in the form of an #OhmHour notification. We give you as much heads-up as possible, but this will vary depending upon when the grid operators let us know they need help.
This is the reason you will sometimes only receive a notification just before an #OhmHour starts.
Note This is an explanation only. If you have specific questions about your #OhmHours, please search for the forum for relevant advice. Moderators will remove or re-direct questions that do not relate to this reminder.
Re: OC math does not add up
@jserramc last January i had 6999 points in my account so that's what i cashed out. Except when it went back to my dashboard it showed i had 1 point left in my account so i looked at my csv file and it showed that i cashed out 6998, yet my PayPal shows i recieved $69.99.......
Maybe you're paying for the extra penny that i got back in January lol😉 $$

Re: How to get smart plug linked to ohmconnect?
On the OC homepage, go to "manage devices" and click on the plus sign. When prompted you'll need to use the same username/password you used for KASA. OC are effectively logging on as you

Re: Why is it taking so long for results of Ohmhours to update?
Today I see a notice on the home page when I first log in that PGE is having issues with results since 8/9. You might try looking also on the known problems which you can find on the page when you click on help.

Re: What time frame do these settings show?
They show that your participation hours are Noon to 1am every day of the week.

Re: How long does a cash out to PayPal normally take? What if the amount is around $500 to $1000?
Congrats on your win. Don't fret about payment, my last one took about 8-10 days. They are way understaffed but I'm 100% sure you'll receive the money.
